Our approach
We start with the problem, not the product.
Diva’s Beauty Garden began in a small treatment room where the same question kept coming up: which of these fifty bottles is actually for me? Our answer is a shortlist, with reasons.
Evidence before hype
A product only appears on a concern page if its key actives have published evidence for that concern at the concentration used. Trend ingredients with no data stay out, however good the packaging looks.
Reviewed by specialists
Every concern page and product blurb is read by a licensed skincare professional before publication, and re-reviewed twice a year. Anything we get wrong, we correct and date.
Built for deeper skin tones
We weight pigment safety heavily: no formulas that commonly trigger post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, no sunscreens that leave a white cast, and honest guidance on visible-light protection.
No paid placements
Brands cannot buy a spot in a recommendation list, change their ranking, or approve the copy we write about them. If that ever changes, it will be labelled on the page.
How a recommendation is made
Four checks, every time
- 01. We define the concern narrowly — “post-breakout marks” is not the same brief as “melasma”, even though both are hyperpigmentation.
- 02. We shortlist actives with evidence for that specific brief, then note the concentration range that matters.
- 03. We screen the full formula for irritants that would undo the benefit — fragrance, drying alcohols, unnecessary essential oils.
- 04. A specialist signs off on the routine order, so nothing on the page clashes with anything else on it.
Sourcing & review policy
Product information comes from manufacturer ingredient lists, peer-reviewed literature and our own in-clinic experience. Ratings and review counts reflect aggregated client feedback collected in the studio and through follow-up check-ins — never scraped or purchased.
Nothing here replaces medical care. If a concern is painful, spreading, or not responding after twelve weeks, we will say so and refer you to a dermatologist.
